- Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
- Stir in the taco seasoning and water, mixing well to combine. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
- Reduce the heat to low and continue to simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until the liquid has mostly evaporated and the meat is thoroughly coated in the seasoning.
- Warm the taco shells or tortillas according to package directions. Fill each taco shell with the seasoned ground beef. Serve with your favorite toppings such as shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, sour cream, and salsa.
Notes
For extra flavor, try adding a squeeze of lime juice to the cooked beef. You can also customize your toppings with avocado, cilantro, or hot sauce.
