  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
Kabobs

  • 2 bell peppers (various colors), cut into 1.5 inch pieces
  • 1 red onion, cut into 1.5 inch pieces
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes
  • 1 zucchini, cut into 1.5 inch pieces

Equipment

  • medium bowl
  • whisk
  • grill
  • skewers (wooden or metal)

Method

Preparation
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together all marinade ingredients: soy sauce, honey, olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, and black pepper.
  2. Add the cubed steak to the marinade, toss to coat, then cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours.
  3. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning.
  4. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, around 400°F (200°C).
Assembly and Grilling
  1. Thread the marinated steak and vegetables (bell peppers, red onion, cherry tomatoes, and zucchini) alternately onto the skewers.
  2. Lightly oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.
  3. Place the kabobs on the preheated grill and cook for 10-15 minutes, turning every 2-3 minutes, until the steak is cooked to your desired doneness and the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  4. Remove the kabobs from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can add pineapple chunks or mushrooms to your kabobs. Adjust grilling time based on your preferred steak doneness and grill temperature. Always use an internal meat thermometer to ensure food safety.
