Preparation
- Wash all fruits thoroughly under cold water and gently pat them dry with a paper towel.
- For berries, remove any stems. For grapes, pluck them from the vine. For melons and pineapple, carefully cut off the rind and dice the flesh into bite-sized pieces.
- Peel and slice the kiwis, and for oranges, remove the peel and white pith, then segment them.
- In a large bowl, combine all the prepared fruits. Gently toss them to ensure an even mix, being careful not to bruise softer fruits.
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld and chill the salad thoroughly.
- Just before serving, garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired, which adds a refreshing aroma and visual appeal to your 5-star fruit salad.
Notes
For an extra touch, you can drizzle a light honey-lime dressing over the fruit salad before chilling. Adjust fruit quantities based on preference and availability, always aiming for a variety of colors and textures.
