Growing Radishes (5 Days)
- Fill small pots or a seed tray with potting soil, leaving about an inch from the top.
- Plant radish seeds about half an inch deep and an inch apart, then cover with a thin layer of soil.
- Water the soil gently, ensuring it is moist but not waterlogged.
- Place the pots in a sunny location and water daily, keeping the soil consistently moist.
- After 5 days, your radishes should be ready for harvesting when their roots are visible and about an inch in diameter.
Preparing the Salad
- Harvest your radishes and wash them thoroughly.
- Slice the fresh radishes thinly.
- Combine sliced radishes with mixed greens in a bowl.
- Drizzle with olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to taste, then toss gently to combine.
Notes
Radishes grow very quickly, so consistent watering and plenty of sunlight are key for a successful harvest. For best results, use fresh, high-quality radish seeds. You can also experiment with different types of radishes for varied flavors and colors in your salad.
