  • 3 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1-2 tablespoons milk as needed for consistency

Cake Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and eggs until light and fluffy.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, mixing until just combined after each addition.
  5. Stir in the lime zest, lime juice, and a few drops of green food coloring, if desired, until evenly distributed.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.

Lime Glaze Preparation
  1. While the cake cools, prepare the glaze by whisking powdered sugar and lime juice in a small bowl.
