Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels, then season both sides with salt and pepper.
Making the Sauce
- In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, and fresh chopped parsley.
- Add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice from one of the lemon slices to the butter mixture, then stir well to combine.
Baking the Salmon
- Place the seasoned salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet and top each fillet with a few slices of lemon.
- Spoon the garlic butter mixture evenly over each salmon fillet, ensuring it’s well coated.
- Bake for 12-18 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
Serving
- Carefully remove the salmon from the oven and garnish with additional fresh parsley and lemon wedges if desired.
- Serve immediately with your favorite side dishes, such as roasted vegetables or rice.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can marinate the salmon in the lemon-garlic butter mixture for 15-30 minutes before baking. Ensure not to overcook the salmon, as it can become dry. The cooking time may vary based on the thickness of your fillets.
