  • 1 count lemon sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 tbsp parsley freshly chopped
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
Optional Garnish
  • lemon wedges for serving

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Small bowl
  • Whisk

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels, then season both sides with salt and pepper.
Making the Sauce
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, and fresh chopped parsley.
  2. Add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice from one of the lemon slices to the butter mixture, then stir well to combine.
Baking the Salmon
  1. Place the seasoned salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet and top each fillet with a few slices of lemon.
  2. Spoon the garlic butter mixture evenly over each salmon fillet, ensuring it’s well coated.
  3. Bake for 12-18 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
Serving
  1. Carefully remove the salmon from the oven and garnish with additional fresh parsley and lemon wedges if desired.
  2. Serve immediately with your favorite side dishes, such as roasted vegetables or rice.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can marinate the salmon in the lemon-garlic butter mixture for 15-30 minutes before baking. Ensure not to overcook the salmon, as it can become dry. The cooking time may vary based on the thickness of your fillets.
