Preparation
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels to ensure a crispy exterior.
Seasoning
- In a small bowl, mix olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper. Rub this mixture evenly over both sides of the chicken breasts.
Air Frying
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 5 minutes. Place the seasoned chicken breasts in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they are not overlapping.
- Cook for 8-10 minutes, then flip the chicken breasts. Continue cooking for another 7-9 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) using a meat thermometer.
Resting
- Once cooked, remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute, ensuring tender and moist chicken.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the chicken breasts for at least 30 minutes or up to 4 hours in the refrigerator. Adjust seasoning to your preference; consider adding a pinch of cayenne pepper for a little heat or some dried oregano for an earthy note.
