Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a medium baking dish by lightly greasing it.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, buffalo wing sauce, and ranch dressing, mixing until smooth.
- Stir in the shredded cooked chicken and 1 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese until all ingredients are well combined.
Baking and Serving
- Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish and sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the dip is bubbly and the cheese on top is melted and lightly golden.
- Remove from the oven, garnish with optional toppings like sliced green onions or blue cheese crumbles, and serve hot with tortilla chips and celery sticks.
Notes
For extra heat, add a dash more buffalo sauce or a pinch of cayenne pepper. If you don't have ranch, blue cheese dressing works as a substitute. This dip is also fantastic when made in a slow cooker; simply combine all ingredients except for the topping cheese, cook on low for 2-3 hours until hot and bubbly, then stir in the remaining cheese and cook for another 15 minutes until melted. Serve directly from the slow cooker to keep it warm.
