Bread
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2.25 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1.5 cups warm water

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, yeast, and salt, then gradually add warm water and mix until a shaggy dough forms.
  2. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the dough rise in a warm place for 2-3 hours, or until doubled in size.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your crockpot on high for 30 minutes with the lid on; once heated, carefully place the dough inside.
  2. Cook on high for 2 hours, then remove the lid and continue cooking for another 30 minutes to develop a crispy crust.
Serving
  1. Carefully remove the bread from the crockpot and let it cool completely on a wire rack before slicing and serving.

Notes

For an extra crispy crust, you can transfer the bread to a conventional oven for 10-15 minutes at 400°F (200°C) after step 4.
