  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Mirin sweet rice wine
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tsp Ginger grated
  • 4 cups Rice cooked

Equipment

  • Large Skillet or Wok
  • Cutting Board
  • Knife
  • Small Bowl

Method

Preparation
  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat, then add the steak pieces and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
  2. Push the steak to one side, then add broccoli, carrots, and onion to the pan; sauté for 3-5 minutes until tender-crisp.
  3. Whisk together soy sauce, mirin, minced garlic, and grated ginger in a small bowl, then pour the sauce over the steak and vegetables, tossing to coat.
  4. Divide the cooked rice among four bowls, top with the hibachi steak and vegetable mixture, and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

Feel free to customize the vegetables based on your preference; mushrooms or bell peppers work well. For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
