Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9-inch unbaked pie crust.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the corn syrup, granulated sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, beaten eggs, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
Baking
- Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust, then arrange the pecan halves evenly over the top.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set and a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
Cooling
- Let the pie cool completely on a wire rack before slicing and serving.
Notes
To prevent the crust from browning too quickly, you can cover the edges with aluminum foil during the last 20 minutes of baking. For extra flavor, toast the pecans lightly before adding them to the filling.
