  • 3 Avocados ripe
  • 2 tbsp Lime juice fresh
  • 1/4 cup Red onion finely diced
  • 1/4 cup Cilantro chopped
  • 1/2 Jalapeño deseeded and minced (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp Salt or to taste
  • 1 clove Garlic minced (optional)
  • 1/2 Roma tomato seeded and diced (optional)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Halve the avocados, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a medium bowl.
  2. Add fresh lime juice and salt to the avocado, then mash to your desired consistency.
  3. Stir in the diced red onion, chopped cilantro, minced jalapeño, minced garlic, and diced tomato, if using.
  4. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed, then serve immediately with tortilla chips.

Notes

For the best guacamole, ensure your avocados are ripe but not overripe. To prevent browning, press plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the guacamole before refrigerating. Serve with tortilla chips, as a topping for tacos, or alongside grilled meats.
