  • 2 cups Red or green grapes, halved
  • 3 cups Mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup Sweetened shredded coconut

  • 8 oz Frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 2 tbsp Granulated sugar (optional, adjust to taste)

Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Medium bowl
  • Whisk or spatula

Method

Preparation
  1. Thoroughly drain canned pineapple chunks and mandarin oranges; halve the grapes and set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the sour cream (or plain yogurt), thawed whipped topping, and optional granulated sugar until smooth and well combined.
Assembly
  1. In a large mixing bowl, gently combine the drained pineapple, mandarin oranges, halved grapes, mini marshmallows, shredded coconut, and chopped pecans.
  2. Pour the prepared creamy dressing over the fruit mixture and carefully fold until all ingredients are evenly coated.
  3. Cover the bowl and refrigerate the Ambrosia Salad for at least 1 hour before serving to allow flavors to meld and chill thoroughly.

Notes

For best results, chill the salad for at least an hour before serving to enhance flavors. You can customize with other fruits like sliced bananas or maraschino cherries, but add delicate fruits just before serving to prevent browning or sogginess.
