- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then cook in olive oil until golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken, let it rest, and then slice it into strips.
- Cook fettuccine according to package directions, reserving 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally, then gradually whisk in Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth.
- Add the cooked fettuccine and sliced chicken to the Alfredo sauce. Toss to coat, adding reserved pasta water as needed to reach desired consistency.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving hot.
Notes
For a richer sauce, use freshly grated Parmesan cheese. You can also add a pinch of nutmeg to the Alfredo sauce for extra flavor.
