  • 12 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Large pot

Method

Cooking Instructions
  1. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then cook in olive oil until golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken, let it rest, and then slice it into strips.
  2. Cook fettuccine according to package directions, reserving 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  3. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally, then gradually whisk in Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth.
  5. Add the cooked fettuccine and sliced chicken to the Alfredo sauce. Toss to coat, adding reserved pasta water as needed to reach desired consistency.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving hot.

Notes

For a richer sauce, use freshly grated Parmesan cheese. You can also add a pinch of nutmeg to the Alfredo sauce for extra flavor.
