  • 4 slices thick-sliced bread
  • 4 tbsp butter, softened
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese or your favorite cheese

Method
 

Garlic Bread
  1. In a small bowl, combine the softened butter and garlic powder.
  2. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly on one side of each bread slice.
Assembly and Grilling
  1. Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  2. Place two slices of bread, butter-side down, in the skillet.
  3. Top the unbuttered side of each bread slice with half of the shredded cheese.
  4. Place the remaining two bread slices, butter-side up, on top of the cheese.
  5. Cook for 3-5 minutes per side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of dried parsley to the garlic butter. Experiment with different types of cheese for varied flavors.
