  • 2 cups fresh peaches, sliced
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 4 cups water, cold
  • 0.5 cup sugar
  • ice for serving

Equipment

  • blender
  • fine-mesh sieve
  • large pitcher
  • muddler (optional)

Method

Preparation
  1. Blend sliced peaches with a small amount of water until smooth.
  2. Strain the peach mixture through a fine-mesh sieve to remove pulp; set aside the peach puree.
  3. In a large pitcher, combine fresh lemon juice, sugar, and the remaining water, stirring until sugar dissolves.
  4. Stir in the peach puree until well combined, then taste and adjust sweetness as needed.
  5. Hack 1: Add a few sprigs of fresh mint to the pitcher for an aromatic boost and chill for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Hack 2: Before serving, muddle a few raspberries in each glass to add a burst of berry flavor and vibrant color.
  7. Hack 3: Rim individual glasses with sugar mixed with a pinch of chili powder for a sweet and spicy kick.
  8. Serve the peach lemonade over ice, garnished with extra peach slices or lemon wedges.

Notes

For an extra grown-up version, add a splash of vodka or rum to individual servings. You can also adjust the amount of sugar based on the sweetness of your peaches and personal preference.
