Cooking Steps
- Boil a pot of salted water and cook the spaghetti according to package directions until al dente.
- While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a pan over medium-low heat; add sliced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking until the garlic is fragrant and lightly golden.
- Drain the cooked spaghetti, reserving about 1/2 cup of pasta water.
- Add the drained spaghetti to the pan with the garlic and oil, tossing to combine. Add a splash of reserved pasta water if needed to create a light sauce.
- Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
For an extra kick, add more red pepper flakes. You can also toast some breadcrumbs in a separate pan and sprinkle them over the finished dish for added texture.
