Preparation
- Toss the sliced beef sirloin with soy sauce and cornstarch in a bowl and set aside to marinate.
- Prepare the broccoli by cutting it into florets and steaming it until crisp-tender.
- Whisk together the remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, ginger, and garlic in a small bowl for the sauce.
Cooking
- Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat and add a tablespoon of oil.
- Add the marinated beef to the hot pan and stir-fry until browned and cooked through, then remove from the pan.
- Add a bit more oil to the pan if needed, then add the steamed broccoli and stir-fry for a couple of minutes.
- Return the cooked beef to the pan with the broccoli and pour in the prepared sauce.
- Stir-fry everything together for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and broccoli.
Serving
- Serve the Quick Beef and Broccoli immediately over steamed rice if desired.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce. Adjust the sweetness and saltiness of the sauce to your preference.
