Quick Beef and Broccoli

This recipe provides a quick and easy way to prepare a classic Beef and Broccoli dish, perfect for a satisfying meal any day of the week.

Ingredients
  

Beef
  • 1 lb beef sirloin sliced thinly
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Toss the sliced beef sirloin with soy sauce and cornstarch in a bowl and set aside to marinate.
  2. Prepare the broccoli by cutting it into florets and steaming it until crisp-tender.
  3. Whisk together the remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, ginger, and garlic in a small bowl for the sauce.
Cooking
  1. Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat and add a tablespoon of oil.
  2. Add the marinated beef to the hot pan and stir-fry until browned and cooked through, then remove from the pan.
  3. Add a bit more oil to the pan if needed, then add the steamed broccoli and stir-fry for a couple of minutes.
  4. Return the cooked beef to the pan with the broccoli and pour in the prepared sauce.
  5. Stir-fry everything together for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and broccoli.
Serving
  1. Serve the Quick Beef and Broccoli immediately over steamed rice if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce. Adjust the sweetness and saltiness of the sauce to your preference.
