- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) with a 6-inch cast-iron skillet inside.
- Whisk together the flour, egg, milk, and a pinch of salt until smooth.
- Carefully remove the hot skillet, add the butter, and swirl to coat the bottom.
- Pour the batter into the hot skillet and immediately return it to the oven.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the pancake is puffed and golden brown, then serve immediately with your favorite toppings.
Notes
