Preparation
- Prepare the beef by slicing it into thin strips.
- Chop all the vegetables: broccoli into florets, carrots into thin slices, and bell pepper into strips.
Sauce
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, grated ginger, minced garlic, sesame oil, cornstarch, and water to create the stir-fry sauce.
Cooking
- Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat with a little oil.
- Add the beef strips and cook until browned on all sides, then remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- Add the broccoli, carrots, and bell pepper to the same skillet and stir-fry for 5-7 minutes until they are tender-crisp.
- Return the beef to the skillet with the vegetables.
- Pour the prepared sauce over the beef and vegetables, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens and coats everything evenly.
- Serve immediately with rice or noodles, if desired.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the beef in a tablespoon of soy sauce for 15 minutes before cooking. Adjust the level of sweetness or spice to your preference by adding more honey or a pinch of red pepper flakes.
