  • 8 slices cooked bacon crumbled
  • 0.25 cup sunflower seeds
  • 0.25 cup dried cranberries

  • 0.75 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

Equipment

  • large bowl
  • small bowl
  • whisk

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine the broccoli florets, chopped red onion, crumbled bacon, sunflower seeds, and dried cranberries. Mix gently to combine all the ingredients.
  2. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sugar, and apple cider vinegar until smooth and well combined. This will form your creamy dressing.
  3. Pour the prepared dressing over the broccoli mixture. Stir everything thoroughly to ensure that all the broccoli and other ingredients are evenly coated with the dressing.
  4. Cover the bowl and refrigerate the broccoli salad for at least 30 minutes before serving. This chilling time allows the flavors to meld together, enhancing the taste.

Notes

For best results, prepare the salad a few hours in advance to allow the flavors to deepen. You can also add chopped cheddar cheese for extra flavor and texture.
