Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb Shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 4 tbsp Butter
  • 4 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp Parsley fresh, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Paper towels

Method

Preparation
  1. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels; this helps them sear better and prevents a watery sauce.
  2. Season the shrimp with salt and pepper evenly.
Cooking
  1. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  3. Increase heat to medium-high, add the seasoned shrimp to the skillet in a single layer, and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
  4. Stir in lemon juice and fresh parsley, and cook for another 30 seconds to combine the flavors.
Serving
  1. Serve the garlic butter shrimp immediately as an appetizer or over rice, pasta, or with crusty bread.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes with the garlic. Ensure you don't overcook the shrimp, as it can become rubbery quickly.
