  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
Chocolate Topping
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter

Equipment

  • 8x8 inch baking pan
  • parchment paper
  • medium bowl
  • microwave-safe bowl

Method

Peanut Butter Layer
  1. Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, powdered sugar, peanut butter, and melted butter until well mixed.
  3. Press the mixture evenly into the prepared pan and refrigerate while you prepare the topping.
Chocolate Topping
  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and peanut butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  2. Pour the chocolate mixture over the peanut butter layer and spread evenly.
  3. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or until the chocolate is firm. Use the parchment paper to lift the bars from the pan, then cut into squares and serve.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can toast the graham cracker crumbs before mixing. If you don't have an 8x8 inch pan, a similar sized dish will work. Enjoy these bars as a quick snack or a delightful dessert!
