Preparation
- Boil the peeled and quartered potatoes in a large pot of salted water until they are tender.
Cooking
- Drain the cooked potatoes and return them to the pot. Add minced garlic, warm milk, butter, salt, and pepper to the pot with the potatoes.

- Mash the potatoes with a potato masher or fork until smooth and creamy. Serve the garlic mashed potatoes hot as a delicious side dish.
Notes
For extra flavor, roast the garlic before adding it to the potatoes. You can also add chives or parsley for garnish.
