  • 2 medium Chicken breast
  • 8 oz Fettuccine pasta
  • 1.5 cups Heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cook the fettuccine according to package directions; drain and set aside.
  2. While pasta cooks, slice chicken breast into thin strips, then season with salt and pepper.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter and sauté minced garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
Cooking the Alfredo
  1. Add chicken to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes; remove chicken and set aside.
  2. Pour heavy cream into the skillet, bring to a simmer, then stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  3. Return cooked chicken and drained pasta to the skillet with the Alfredo sauce; toss to combine and coat everything evenly.
  4. Serve immediately, garnished with extra Parmesan and fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use freshly grated Parmesan cheese. You can also add a pinch of nutmeg to the sauce for an authentic touch. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of pasta water to reach desired consistency.
