Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C) and grease a 9-inch springform pan.
- Combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter, then press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared springform pan to form the crust.
Baking
- In a large bowl, beat softened cream cheese and sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Gradually mix in the eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla extract and sour cream, until the filling is well combined.
- Pour the cheesecake filling over the crust in the springform pan and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center slightly jiggles.
- Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside with the door ajar for 30 minutes, then remove and cool completely on a wire rack before refrigerating for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight.
Notes
For best results, use full-fat cream cheese. You can customize your cheesecake with various toppings like fruit, chocolate, or caramel.
