  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp mustard powder
  • 4 hamburger buns

Preparation
  1. Cook the ground beef with chopped onion and bell pepper in a large skillet over medium heat until the meat is browned and vegetables are tender; drain any excess fat.
  2. Stir in the tomato sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard powder. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 10-15 minutes, allowing it to thicken slightly.
  3. Spoon the sloppy joe mixture onto hamburger buns and serve warm.

Notes

For an extra kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the mixture. Serve with a side of coleslaw or pickles.
