Trifle
  • 1 loaf Pound cake cubed
  • 4 cups Mixed berries fresh
  • 2 cups Heavy cream
  • 8 oz. Mascarpone cheese
  • 0.5 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla extract

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Whip heavy cream, mascarpone, sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form to create a creamy filling.
  2. Arrange half of the pound cake cubes at the bottom of a large trifle bowl.
  3. Spread half of the whipped cream mixture over the cake layer, then top with half of the fresh mixed berries.
  4. Repeat the layers once more, finishing with berries on top, and chill for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

For an extra touch, you can sprinkle some lemon zest on top of the berries or add a splash of berry liqueur to the pound cake layers for added flavor.
