Preparation
- Whip heavy cream, mascarpone, sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form to create a creamy filling.
- Arrange half of the pound cake cubes at the bottom of a large trifle bowl.
- Spread half of the whipped cream mixture over the cake layer, then top with half of the fresh mixed berries.
- Repeat the layers once more, finishing with berries on top, and chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
For an extra touch, you can sprinkle some lemon zest on top of the berries or add a splash of berry liqueur to the pound cake layers for added flavor.
